There are two types of keyboards, called PS/2 keyboards and USB keyboards, which are distinguished by the plug used to connect to the computer. PS/2 keyboards have round plugs for computers. They communicate with the computer using a 30kHz electrical signal. USB keyboards have a rectangular plug that goes into a computer's USB drive. They communicate with the computer using an electrical signal between 1.1Mhz and 433MHz. The two keyboards are not interchangeable. A device designed to record from a PS/2 keyboard will not recognize USB electrical signals, and vice-versa. Please ensure you select the keylogger that works with your keyboard.
